This review article deals with hydro-pneumatic accumulators (HPAs) charged nitrogen. The focus is on HPA models used in the study of energy efficiency hydraulic systems. Hydraulic circuits are presented along their various applications for delivering required volume fluid, maintaining pressure, ensuring safe operation, safety stop, leak compensation, fluid change pulsation damping, and pressure shock absorption. A general regenerative system a hybrid also presented. focuses primarily computational, dynamic, simulation models.
